Biography

Panagiotis Evaggelidis (Παναγιώτης Ευαγγελίδης) was born in Athens, where he lives and works. He is a film director, screenwriter, author and literary translator. He has published four novels. He translates almost exclusively from Japanese. He has written scripts for Greek cinema, including True Life, Strella and Xenia in collaboration with director Panos Koutras for the films of the same name. He mainly makes anthropocentric observational documentaries. Portraits of people, chamber films. His films: Chip and Ovie, The Life and Death of Celso Junior, Glow in the Dark, Diptych, The Pure Life, Irving Park, The Tilos Weddings, Sibyl, Portrait of a Collector in Mature Age, Sylvia Robin.
