Věra Bílá was a Czech vocalist and musician of Romani ethnicity, who initially gained acclaim performing traditional Romani folk songs. She was highly acclaimed, toured internationally and was often called the "Ella Fitzgerald of Gypsy music" or the "Queen of Romany".
