Biography

Bùi Thương Tín (14 September 1956 - 8 December 2025) was a Vietnamese actor. Classically trained at the Saigon Academy of Performing Arts, he made his professional debut in theatre and cải lương where he gradually gained widespread recognition as the leading man beside Kim Cương in her self-written plays. Thuơng Tín began participating in film projects in early 1980s and quickly rose to national prominence for his role as Major Lưu Kỳ Vọng in the hit franchise "Ván bài lật ngửa" / Cards on the Table (1982 - 1987). His other notable roles include head of a bandit Bạch Hải Đường in "SBC," Sáu Tâm in "Biệt Động Sài Gòn," and Tám Thương in "Chiến trường chia nửa vầng trăng." As of 2015, Thuong Tin has participated in the largest amount of feature films in Vietnam, with a record of more than 200 productions.
