Biography

Alessandro Repetti is a British-Italian film director and writer. In his early career he won SF.EX. Special Jury Price with "Un Eroe del vino" in 2013. In 2014 he directed "Masquerade", a short film based on the famous Italian paper character Dylan Dog, endorsed by the writer of the graphic novel itself. He has been Director of Photography for Channel 4 and BBC Creative productions, but truly flourished as film director with the short film How Scared She Was (2020), official selection at the 30th Edition of the Rome Independent Film Festival, and Transgressing (2023), winner of 16 awards, including Best Director and 5 Best Actress. Alongside his narrative endeavours, Alessandro directs documentaries and TV programmes.
