He spent two years studying film in Nashville where he wrote and directed three short films before moving to Atlanta to do freelance work and pursue independent filmmaking full-time. Kaplan enjoys exploring themes of mental health, relationships, and power dynamics, mainly through the lens of drama and horror genres.
